Your skills help casting teams match you to the right roles. Be honest and specific about what you can do; from musical instruments and dance styles to sports or performance experience. Only include skills you’re confident performing on set.

Performance Skill

These help us understand how comfortable you are on camera and in performance settings.

Examples:

  • Basic acting experience

  • Mime

  • Improvisation

  • Dance styles (ballet, hip-hop, contemporary, ballroom, etc.)

  • Singing (beginner/intermediate/advanced)

  • Stage combat

Performing Artists

Sports & Fitness Skills

These are especially useful for commercials and lifestyle shoots.

Examples:

  • Football, rugby, basketball, netball

  • Boxing

  • Ice skating or roller skating

  • Skiing or snowboarding

  • Climbing

  • Paddleboarding

  • Tennis / badminton

Soccer Practice Action

Professional Background Skills

Certain roles require real-world experience for authenticity.

Examples:

  • Healthcare experience (nurse, paramedic, care worker)

  • Police/military background

  • Construction or trade skills

  • Office work (typing, receptionist, call centre)

  • Hospitality (waitressing, bar work)

  • Retail experience

  • Teaching/childcare

Doctor and Patient

Physical Skills

These relate to movement, body confidence, and any specialist physical abilities.

Examples:

  • Swimming

  • Running / jogging

  • Cycling

  • Martial arts

  • Yoga / Pilates

  • Stunt experience (if applicable)

These help you stand out and are often needed for specific scenes.

  • Driving (including licences: manual, automatic, motorbike, PCV, etc.)

  • Barista skills

  • Bartending or cocktail making

  • Cooking (home cook / professional)

  • Sewing or craft skills

  • First aid training

  • Sign language (BSL level 1–6)

  • Fire safety or lifeguard training

Look-Specific or Style-Based Skills

These help us cast for niche roles or period pieces.

Examples:

  • Able to grow/maintain facial hair

  • Comfortable with haircuts/dyeing for roles

  • Tattoos or piercings (visible or hidden)

  • Able to wear heels for long periods

  • Period walking or etiquette training
